We two who've paddled in the stream
From morning sun 'til night
The seas between us roared and swelled
Since the days of auld lang syne.
For auld lang syne, my dear
For auld lang syne
We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet
For the sake of auld lang syne.
To dear friends old and new,
2024 was a year of great adventure!!
So Let's set aside the heartbreak
caused by an act we can't control.
We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet
For those who've lost their soul.
Without regret, but with gratitude,
we bid what's past Auld Lang Syne.
With equally Bold Determination,
We herald the new "Buaidh-Larach"!
To our bold Founding Principle,
All Are Created Equal...
Happy New Year To All!!
Most of the text comes from the poem "Auld Lang Syne" by Robert Byrnes.
Buaidh-Larach: Effectiveness, Influence, Triumph, Victory. Found in the Irish and Scots dialects.
The Music is Traditional. This version is by The Choral Scholars of University College, Dublin. Their harmony and emotional strength is amazing!
