The Night the City Went Black

I really enjoyed this story, and the trip accompanying a teenager through the landscape of his adolescent priorities. I have often wondered what was happening outside that night. My brother and I were in the bath together when the lights went out. We simply continued by candle light, which was an exciting twist. I was seven. Our story about the Great Northeast Blackout was that when my mother called an electrician to sort out the lights, he said "Take a look out the window lady! The whole city is dead".
